I’m still slowly sorting my photos and am currently half-way through September. This being Belgium, havaing made it to the mid-point of the month is generally seen as a perfectly good reason to throw a party.
I haven’t talked about beer on these pages for quite some time. However, De Met is now serving guest beers so this may change. Right now the guest beer that they have is Tripel Karmeliet from Bosteels Brewery.
As the name suggests, it’s an abbey tripel and in this case the Tripel part of the name not only refers to the in-bottle refermentation but also to the fact that the beer is brewed with three kinds of grain: wheat, oats and barley. And it’s lovely.
I’m not normally a huge fan of tripels, but this is one that I would quite happily go back to. It’s clear and has a huge creamy head and tastes light, fruity and refreshing.
Last week we had a barbecue and I have finally pulled the photos of my camera.
I’m also still playing around with the gallery settings in WordPress. You can enlarge the thumbnail images below by clicking on them and if you right-click on the images the context menu should include an option to take ypu to the full sized picture. The actual wording will vary depending on your browser.
That’s the techie gumpf done with, here are the photos:
