It sounded a bit suspicious when I first read it. Like getting undressed with the light on and the curtains open.

Yes. My first thought was to wonder how anyone could manage to take a shower during a meeting.
It does sound, though, like a genuine case of technical incompetence.

A cautionary tale for all of us. Although the worst I’ve actually done is leave the room to make a cup of tea.

I haven’t left the room during a conference call, but I always make sure the camera is switched off before I start looking at my phone.
