A song for Sunday: Hang Me Up To Dry by Joon Wolfsberg

Album cover Joon Wolfsberg is a singer-songwriter based in Germany, and Hang Me Up To Dry is taken from her second album, Wonderland.

I first heard this song on episode 219 of The Bugcast and, I have to admit that it didn’t really grab me at the time. However, The Bugcast is recorded live and before the show starts, the songs from the previous show receive another airing. Which is all a very long way of saying that when I heard the song again, while waiting for show 220 to start, I found the song really starting to grow on me.

Since then, I have listened to the whole of Wonderland on Soundcloud and found the album on Amazon (Germany). And the song is still growing on me.

Enjoy.

  1. The song is great!!! And the video too 🙂 I looked her up on Soundcloud and I love the album. Did you know that two guys from Blind Melon and the first drummer of Pearl Jam are playing on this record?

  2. I did notice that Dave Krusen was listed as the drummer on Wonderland. 🙂

I have to admit that Blind Melon is not a band I’d heard of before so I didn’t really register that two of their members were playing on the album. I will have to check them out one of these days.

  3. They have a lot of videos up on Last.fm. I do like their jangly grungy sound – they really are rather good.

    Thanks for the recommendation 🙂
